COMPONENTES DE PRODUÇÃO DE SOJA NO TABULEIRO COSTEIRO DE ALAGOAS EM CULTIVOS DE SEQUEIRO E IRRIGADO

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the soil water balance and the production components of soya cultivars over two cycles, with supplementary irrigation, and under rainfed conditions in Rio Largo, Alagoas. The experimental design was of randomised blocks with five replications and six soya cultivars (M 6210, M 6410, BMX-Potência, AS 3730, M 8349 and BRS-9383). The variables under analysis were the height of the first pod insertion (HFPI, cm), number of pods per plant (NPP, unit), 1000-grain weight (TGW, g), harvest index (HI), water productivity (WP, kg m^-3) and grain yield (GY, kg ha^-1). The performance of soya cultivars in rainfed was lower when compared to irrigated. The maximum HFPI was 19.30 cm (M 8349), with a maximum NPP of 118.0 units, maximum TGW of 207.23 g, maximum HI of 45.0, maximum WP of 1.30 kg m^-3, and maximum GY of 6,180 kg ha^-1. In the rainfed experiment, the maximum value for HFPI was 16.80 cm, with a maximum NPP of 72 units, TGW of 176 g, maximum CI of 52, PA of 0.86 kg m^-3, and maximum GY of 3,600 kg ha^-1. Irrigation, therefore, increases the productivity of soya cultivars on the Coastal Tablelands of Alagoas.
